Last year I lost my cousin Jack in a tragic car accident. He was the best person I have ever known. Jack represents everything that is good in this world. Everything that is pure and filled with love. He lived with an open mind and an open heart. His love was pure and infectious. He never judged anybody by anything but their heart. Jack made you feel loved and made you feel happy to be alive. He was one of the wisest and most peaceful people I have ever met. He was a beautiful son, beautiful brother, beautiful cousin, beautiful nephew, beautiful grandson, beautiful friend, and a beautiful soul and was so special and close to so many people. Jack had a genuine interest in every living being and he stood up for what he believed in. He was the shining light in so many people’s lives. When Jack passed away, he left us with his example, and stayed with us in his spirit.

Jack is here with us today. Helping us grow. Helping us learn. Helping us love. Helping us find compassion and empathy. Helping us on each of our journeys. Helping us believe in something greater. Helping us become better people. Let’s never forget what it means to love. What it means to be alive. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world. Let’s grow and learn together to make the world a happier, healthier, safer, more beautiful place. Let’s strive to be the person that Jack always was. Open-minded. Filled with love. Afraid of nothing. Standing up for what he believed in. His love and passion and spirit carry on forever. He is always with us. Rest In Peace Jack. Thank you for always being you and for showing us what it means to truly be alive. I love you.
